Terms of Use
Effective: October 16, 2026
Dictate is provided by Mohamed Makled. Use of the App is governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement and applicable mandatory consumer law.
Free use and Dictate Pro
You can try Dictate with 20 successful dictations. Canceled recordings, silence and failed transcription do not consume this allowance. Afterward, starting a new dictation requires Dictate Pro. Existing transcripts and history remain accessible.
Dictate Pro is a non-consumable, one-time in-app purchase for unlimited dictation. It does not renew and is not a subscription. The App Store shows the local price and charges your Apple Account when you confirm. Use Restore purchases with the same Apple Account to recover access. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. “Lifetime” describes this one-time entitlement to Dictate Pro while the App remains available; it does not promise perpetual service or any unrelated future product. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Speech recognition
Transcription and polishing can make mistakes. Review important text before sending or relying on it. You are responsible for obtaining any permissions needed to record another person.
System requirements and downloads
Dictate requires a compatible Mac, microphone permission and an initial model download. Global shortcuts and automatic paste need additional macOS permissions. Some optional features depend on Apple Intelligence availability and system settings.
Your content and privacy
You retain rights to your recordings and transcripts. They are processed locally. See the privacy policy for local storage, model downloads and purchase processing.
Availability and liability
We work to keep Dictate reliable but cannot guarantee error-free recognition or compatibility with every text field. Liability and your remedies are governed by the Standard EULA and applicable law. These terms do not limit mandatory consumer rights.
